Per cabin. A double cabin sleeps two people at that one price, so two travellers pay once, not twice.
Yes. Every booking is a genuine reservation with Egypt Railways, issued in your name and added to the train's official passenger manifest. It is the same ticket you would get booking in person, without needing to be in Cairo to do it.
As early as you like. Egypt Railways only releases each train about 6 weeks before departure, so booking early just means we hold your place and your ticket is issued automatically the moment it is released. Popular dates and double cabins do sell out closer to departure, so earlier is safer if your dates are fixed.
You get a full refund. We only charge once your booking is placed, and if a cabin cannot be secured for your date, the payment is returned in full. You are never left holding a ticket that does not exist.
Cairo sleeper trains depart from Bashtil Station, not Ramses. We send directions with your ticket. Most other guides still get this wrong.

Elite or Standard, is it worth the extra?

Yes. Elite cabins were refurbished in 2025 and 2026. Standard gets you there just as well, but the cabins are a lot older. We tell you which you are booking rather than letting you find out on the platform.
